Valva sphaerica API6D arcte claudi potest rotatione tantum nonaginta graduum et parvo momento torquendi. Cavitas interna valvae, omnino aequalis, canalem fluxus rectum praebet, medio parva resistentia imposita. Praecipua eius proprietas est structura compacta, facilis operatio et conservatio, apta mediis generalibus, ut aqua, solventibus, acidis et gaso naturali, et etiam mediis cum condicionibus asperis, ut oxygenio, hydrogenii peroxido, methano et aethyleno.
1. Valvula globosa fluitans
Sphaera valvae sphaericae fluitat. Sub actione pressionis medii, sphaera dislocationem quandam producere potest et superficiem obturantem extremitatis exitus arcte premere ut extremitas exitus claudatur. Valva sphaerica fluitans structuram simplicem et bonam vim obturantem habet, sed onus sphaerae medium operans portantis totum ad anulum obturantem exitus transmittitur, ergo considerare necesse est utrum materia anuli obturantis onus operans medii sphaerici sustinere possit. Haec structura late in valvis sphaericis pressionis mediae et humilis adhibetur.
2. Valvula globi trunnionis
Sphaera valvae sphaericae fixa est nec premitur. Valva sphaerica "Trunnion" sede valvae fluitante instructa est. Postquam pressionem medii accipit, sedes valvae movetur, ita ut anulus obturans arcte in sphaeram premitur ad obsignationem confirmandam. Fercula plerumque in axibus superioribus et inferioribus sphaerae ponuntur, et momentum operativum parvum est, quod aptum est valvis altae pressionis et magni diametri. Ad momentum operativum valvae sphaericae reducendum et firmitatem obsignationis augendam, valvae sphaericae oleo obsignatae annis proximis apparuerunt. Oleum lubricans speciale inter superficies obsignantes iniicitur ad pelliculam olei formandam, quae vim obsignationis auget et momentum operativum minuit, quod magis aptum est valvis sphaericis altae pressionis et magni diametri.
